The Ally Cursor AI (written by AF) will do two things
Firstly it will show your Allies where your cursor is, thus telling them where you are looking and what you're doing..
Secondly, this GroupAI will draw coloured blobs above selected units allowing you to identify their current orders based on colour. For example a reclaiming unit will have a purple trail, and a moving unit a green trail.
